The
Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) a psychometrically sound and
thoroughly researched instrument which will allow you to explore patterns in
your conflict handling style.
You
explore instances when one conflict behavior is productive and when choosing an
alternative style would be more effective. The TKI will assist you in
understanding the benefits as well as the costs of your particular
conflict-handling style, and offer concrete suggestions for considering
alternative approaches.
The
assessment will show how you use the five TKI conflict handling modes:
- Competing: Low Cooperativeness
and high assertiveness. The goal is "to win."
- Collaborating: High
cooperativeness and high assertiveness. The goal is "to find a
win-win solution."
- Compromising: Moderate
cooperativeness and moderate assertiveness. The goal is "to find a
middle ground."
- Avoiding: Low cooperativeness and
low assertiveness. The goal is "to delay."
- Accommodating: High
cooperativeness and low assertiveness and. The goal is "to
yield."
In
completing the TKI you will receive a detailed and personalised 11 page report with
graphical presentation to assist in ease of understanding.
