Can I leave the items blank?
Whether or not you will be able to leave items blank when completing a psychological assessment will vary with the particular test you are taking. It is not uncommon for some assessments to use use what is called "forced choice" responses which means that you will need to provide an answer to each question and will not be able to leave any answers blank.
Other assessments however will allow you to skip items or leave items blank. With such assessments, if you cannot make a choice on a particular item, or perhaps you would rather not reveal what the item is asking you, then you may leave the item blank. Be warned however that if you leave several items blank on an assessment, the resulting profile or results for many assessments may be rendered invalid and unusable.
